Namun, karena kebingungan atas kata Indonesia apa yang akan digunakan untuk Pencipta Kudus yang kita sembah, kami menggunakan kata Inggris "God" sering di halaman-halaman web ini. All of the following words mean the same thing:

God = Elohim = Theos = Deos = Dius = Ilah = Debata = Tuhan (with its secondary meaning of God).

However, because of the confusion over what Indonesian word to use for the holy creator whom we worship, we use the English word "God" often on these web pages. Note that we do not use the Indonesian word "Tuhan" because its primary meaning is "Lord," not "God," althought God is definately an implied meaning, just as the English word "Lord" (beginning with a capital letter) has the implied meaning of "God."

Alkitab diembuskan Elohim
The Bible is inspired of God

Alkitab mengajarkan bahwa seluruh Tulisan Suci berasal kata demi kata langsung dari mulut Elohim sendiri.

The Bible teaches that all the Scripture (Holy Writing) originated word for word directly from the mouth of God himself.

πᾶσα γραφὴ θεόπνευστος καὶ ὠφέλιμος πρὸς διδασκαλίαν, πρὸς ἔλεγχον, πρὸς ἐπανόρθωσιν, πρὸς παιδείαν τὴν ἐν δικαιοσύνῃ· (2 Tim. 3:16 SCR bahasa Yunani)

In other words, all of the words of the Bible came directly from the mouth of the God who cannot lie. They are his words, not man's. They are true words, not lies. When we read the Bible, God himself is speaking to us.

We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. (2 Pet. 1:19-21 KJV)

Alkitab dilestarikan oleh Elohim
The Bible is preserved by God

Tuhan kita Yesus Kristus sendiri, Penebus dan Juruselamat kita, dengan sangat jelas berjanji bahwa kata-kata-Nya tidak akan berlalu:

Our Lord Jesus Christ himself, our Redeemer and Savior, very clearly promised that his words would not pass away:

Surga dan bumi akan berlalu: tetapi kata-kata-Ku tidak akan berlalu. (Markus 13:31 TTR)

Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away. (Mk. 13:31 KJV)

Rasul Petrus mendeklarasikan bahwa firman Elohim tidak bisa menjadi busuk, hidup, akan tinggal tetap untuk selama-lamanya, dan akan bertahan untuk selama-lamanya.

The apostle Peter declared that the word of God is incorruptible, alive, will abide forever, and will endure forever.

Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently: being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away: but the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you. (1 Pet. 1:22-25 KJV)

"Tinggal tetap untuk selama-lamanya" berarti bahwa berarti bahwa kata-kata Elohim tidak pernah hilang, dan tidak pernah akan hilang. Kita mempunyai kata-kata Elohim hari ini dalam Teks Ibrani Masoretik, dan dalam Teks Yunani Textus Receptus, dan dalam terjemahan yang tepat dari kedua teks itu.

"Will abide forever" means that God's words have never been, and will never be, lost. We have God's words today in the Masoretic Hebrew text and in the Textus Receptus Greek text, and in accurate translations of those two texts.

Elohim tidak hanya melestarikan Firman-Nya melalui waktu, tetapi juga melalui terjemahan-terjemahan. Kata-kata Elohim tidak terbatas pada satu bahasa. Dalam Kisah Para Rasul 21:40-22:21, kita melihat contoh pelestarian melalui terjemahan. Rasul Paulus berbicara dalam bahasa Ibrani, Lukas menerjemahkan pidatonya ke dalam bahasa Yunani, dan tulisan-tulisan itu tetap merupakan kata-kata Elohim yang diembuskan. Not only does God preserve his word through time, but also through translations. God's words are not limited to one language. In Acts 21:40-22:21, we see an example of preservation through translation. The apostle Paul speaks in Hebrew, Luke translates his speech into Greek, and they are still the inspired words of God. When we read the King James Bible in English or the Kitab Kudus Terjemahan Textus Receptus in Indonesian, we are reading the inspired, preserved words of God.

Alkitab adalah kebenaran
The Bible is truth

Pilatus berkata kepada Yesus, "Apakah kebenaran?" (Yohanes 18:38 TTR). Yesus sudah menjawab pertanyaan itu pada Yohanes 17:17 ketika dalam doa-Nya kepada Elohim Bapa Ia berkata, "...firman Engkau adalah kebenaran." Firman Elohim adalah kebenaran. Dalam dunia penuh dengan berbagai kebohongan dan ketipuan, kita dapat pergi pada Alkitab untuk membangun suatu kehidupan yang bersukses.

Pilate said to Jesus, "What is truth?" (John 18:38 KJV). Jesus had already answered that question in John 17:17 when in his prayer to God the Father he said, "...Thy word is truth. God's word is truth. In the world of lies and deceit, we can go to the Bible to find truth upon which to build a successful life.

Kesucian Engkau adalah kesucian yang kekal, dan Hukum Engkau adalah kebenaran. (Mazmur 119:142)

Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and thy law is the truth. (Ps. 119:142 KJV)

Yesus adalah kebenaran, dan semua kata-Nya adalah kebenaran. Jikalau kita memercayai kata-kata Yesus kita akan diberi hidup yang kekal.

Jesus is the truth, and all his words are the truth. If we believe Jesus' words we will be given eternal life.

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (Jn. 14:6 KJV)

Jika kita memercayai kata-kata Yesus, kita akan dibebaskan dari dosa-dosa, dan dibebaskan dari perbudakan pada agama palsu.

If we believe Jesus' words we will be freed from sins sins, and freed from bondage to false religion.

Lalu berkatalah Yesus kepada orang-orang Yahudi yang percaya kepada-Nya itu, Jikalau kamu tetap dalam firman-Ku, maka kamu benar-benar adalah murid-murid-Ku; dan kamu akan mengetahui kebenaran, dan kebenaran itu akan membuat kamu merdeka. (Yohanes 8:31-32)

Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. (Jn. 8:31-32 KJV)

Setiap pengkhotbah atau agama yang mengajarkan doktrin yang tidak sesuai dengan doktrin yang diajarkan dalam Alkitab ada dalam kegelapan, dan tidak ada kebenaran di dalamnya.

Any preacher or religion which teaches doctrines not according to the doctrines taught in the Bible is in darkness, and their is no truth in them.

Pada Taurat dan pada Kesaksian: jika mereka tidak berbicara menurut perkataan itu, itu adalah karena tidak ada terang di dalam mereka.

To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them. (Isaiah 8:20 KJV)

Elohim memuliakan firman kudus-Nya bahkan lebih dari nama kudus-Nya. Firman-Nya memberi tahu kita bagaimana pergi ke Surga. Kita seharusnya menghargainya jauh di atas emas dan permata-permata.

God exalts his holy word even more than his holy name. His word tells us how to get to Heaven. We should value it far above gold and precious jewels.

Aku akan menyembah ke arah bait Engkau yang kudus, dan memuji nama Engkau karena kasih sayang Engkau dan karena kebenaran Engkau: karena Engkau sudah membesarkan firman Engkau di atas segenap nama Engkau.

I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name. (Ps. 138:2 KJV)

The superiority of this translation

Many things make this Textus Receptus Translation (TTR) most suitable for Christians who truly want to learn the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ. Among the superior qualities of this translation are the following:

  1. Karena alasan-alasan yang sangat kuat, אדני (Adonai) dan κύριος (Kurios) diterjemahkan sebagai "Tuhan," bukan sebagai "Tuan." Pelejari lebih lanjut.

    For very strong reasons, אדני (adonai) and κύριος (kurios) are translated as "Tuhan," not as "Tuan." Learn more.

  2. Karena alasan-alasan yang sangat kuat, אלהם (Elohim [dalam Perjanjian Lama]) dan Θεός (Teos [dalam Perjanjian Baru]) diterjemahkan sebagai "Elohim," bukan sebagai "Allah," dan bukan sebagai "Tuhan." Pelejari lebih lanjut.

    For very strong reasons, the source text used is the Textus Receptus (the only text received as genuine since the time of the apostles), not the Critical Text (which has only existed since 1881, and is constantly changing). Learn more.

    For very strong reasons, the "formal" translation method was used, not the "Dynamic Equivilency" method. Learn more.

  5. Keterbukaan. Kata-kata penolong dinyatakan dengan huruf miring, supaya pembaca bisa tahu kata-kata mana yang diterjemahkan langsung dari teks sumber, dan mana yang hanya dipakai supaya bahasa Indonesianya halus.

    Openness. Helper words are in italics, so that the reader can know which words are translated directly from the source text, and which are only used so that the Indonesian language is smooth.

  6. Jenis kelamin dinyatakan. Terjemahan ini bukan jenis kelamin netral. Yesus adalah "Putra Elohim", bukan "Anak Allah." Perbedaan antara jenis kelamin ada dalam teks Ibrani dan teks Yunani, dan harus ada juga dalam terjemahan-terjemahannya.

    Gender expressed. This translation is not gender neutral. Jesus is "the Son of Elohim" (the son of God), not "anak Allah" (the child of Allah). Differences of gender are in the Hebrew text and Greek text, and must be show also in their translations.

  7. Perbedaan antara jamak dan tunggal dinyatakan. Misalnya, "kamu" selalu bersifat jamak, dan "engkau" selalu bersifat tunggal.

    The difference between plural and singular is expressed. For example, "kamu" (you) is always plural, and "engkau" (thou) is always singular.

  8. Tanda kutip tidak dipakai supaya lebih cepat menulis artikel yang mengutip terjemahan ini, sebab tidak harus merangkap tanda kutip.

    Quotation marks are not used so that articles quoting this translation do not have to use double quotes.

  9. Ayat-ayat Perjanjian Baru yang berisi "TUHAN" (ditulis dengan semua hurufnya kapital) mengutip ayat-ayat Perjanjian Lama tentang "YEHOVAH," dan sering menunjukkan bahwa Yesus adalah YEHOVAH Elohim.

    New Testament verses containing "TUHAN" (written in all capital letters) are quoting Old Testament verses about "JEHOVAH," and often show that Jesus is JEHOVAH God.

  10. Mudah mencari ayat. Terjemahan ini memudahkan pencarian ayat. Di depan setiap ayat ada tiga nomor yang dipisahkan dengan tanda dua titik. Nomor pertama adalah nomor buku. Ada 66 buah buku dalam Alkitab. Jadi Wahyu adalah nomor 66. Nomor yang kedua adalah fasal. Dan nomor yang ketiga adalah ayat. Jadi, sangat mudah memberitahukan ayat yang akan dibacakan.

    Easy to find verses. This translation facilitates the search for a specific verse. In front of each verse there are three numbers separated by colons. The first number is the book number. There are 66 books in the Bible. So revelation is number 66. The second number is the chapter. And the third number is the verse. So, it is very easy to tell others which verse you are about to read.
